The Sacred Camel Gardens and Retreats of Da Fear-No-More are a circumstance where sanctuary is already present. A guided weekend, or just a few hours, among our gentle herds of camels and horses will open and deepen your connection to non-humans, and life, in a unique way.
The ""Field of Prior Unity" " approach informs and enriches each of human and non-human, alike, sensitizing us to the felt knowledge that all beings are equal, at heart. Our staff and volunteers welcome and support your stay with us. Near the camels is a beautiful swimming lake with otters, water-birds and a resident bobcat. We have both indoor accommodations and an attractive camping area where you can pitch your tent or use one of ours. Delicious meals are provided, and massages are available by request.
Commenced in 2006, the Sacred Camel Gardens emerges from the deep love between Adi Da Samraj and a large Bactrian bull camel he named "Jingle Baba".
Our camels are not trained by conventional methods. We are fortunate to have the guidance and wisdom of horse master, Carolyn Resnick, to mentor our engagement of our camels and horses. Their integrity and intelligence are respected and honored. Approached sensitively, the camels and horses show us how best to relate to them. This in turn strengthens our capacity to respect ourselves and others.
