Shannon Goolsbee Shannon spent several years in the mid 1990's working for Da Fear-No-More after high school, before going on to receive a BA in Energy Management and study architecture. He spent three years on the Fijian Island of Naitauba, where he learned and then managed the island's development projects. He is excited to return to serving the unique processes being developed among these Sacred Camels and other non-humans.
Jingle Baba
Jingle Baba was the original camel of our herd. He was massive, about 3000 pounds in his prime. Powerful, gentle, wise and full of class. His profound relationship of love and service to Adi Da Samraj gave birth to the Sacred Camel Gardens. Jingle Baba passed away in 2004, leaving a line of younger camels to carry on his benevolence and example.
Google Mama
As overall herd leader Google Mama is a benign, steady, presence from whom the herd draws its spiritual guidance and balance. She is firm yet kind. Commanding respect, Google Mama demonstrates true leadership and the importance of positive hierarchy within the sacred culture of the herd. Adi Da named Google Mama in July 1998, ostensibly in response to her "googly" eyes at the time.
Peaceful Baba
Peaceful is Google Mama's oldest son. He is the herd caretaker. When the youngsters get out of line Peaceful is there to restore order. When new people arrive Peaceful is often the first to greet them and investigate. He is the herd peace-maker and protector. Peaceful Baba was given his name by Adi Da on April 12, 2001.
Barack O'Mama
Born during the 2008 US Presidential Primaries Barack received her humorous name from Adi Da. Barack almost didn't make it into this world. Her first couple of days were tentative. But when she finally arrived she did so with a gusto and confidence that continues to grow. She loves people and wants to be involved and to participate in things. Barack is Google Mama's most recent daughter.
Jelly Baba
Of all of Jingle Baba's progeny, Jelly Baba, his youngest, is the most like him. Jelly is large and dark, kind and powerful, yielding and serious, though not without a sense of humor. As a young baby he was often seen sitting face to face with his father receiving, it felt, all his father could give him before he passed. Jelly is a leader in his own right. A really good camel person.
Muffin
Muffin is sweet and sugary. A friend to everyone.
Everest
Son of the great, famed, Tom Dooley (resident in Montana), Everest is a large white bull of handsome proportions. Still young, and learning the responsibilities of being the bull of a herd. A powerful young camel to be respected.
Purnimama
Purni is Google Mama's first daughter. Now a mother herself, she is sweet, shy and good company to all.
Not-Two Mama
Not-Two is Purnimama's daughter. She is a tiny thing, scruffy, curious, a little cautious and proud. Though tiny the strength of her will is such that she frequently sends away the adult camels if she feels crowded or wants the hay to herself. Not-Two Mama received her name because she was the third-born calf that year, not the second-born. Her name is also a reference to Adi Da's book, "Not-Two Is Peace".
Green Smoothy
When Smoothy was born Adi Da gave her the "green" name, He said, because her parents (Muffin and Jelly Baba) both have junk food names. Green Smoothy is vibrantly healthy, sharp and very quick.
Dalaney
Dalaney is a very interesting camel; complex, introspective and serious. She is no push-over. When she lets you in, however, you know you have received a gift that was worth waiting for.
Tilly
Tall and white, Tilly is a young, beautiful, feminine, camel who is still not yet sure of herself in all situations. Sometimes shy. Sometimes very bold.
HiHo
A character. A mischief-maker. A trickster. Someone to always keep an eye on. His playful inquisitiveness is always getting him into trouble. And always taking us to our limits and teaching us more about ourselves. He's a little guy. Very vocal. Has a pronounced creative streak. Loves people.
